First thing that I notice is, being lady-owned first, the mc seems haven't been touched by any mechanic given the smooth ride it gave me, except for welds on several joint indicating that a sidecar was previously attached. We bought a side mirror, new kickstand, headlight, taillight and yes a new grip. Just last week, bought a chain protector, a led signal light and several allen screws and/or bolts with alum knob for bling factor. Repaint the front fender and have a change oil as well. For the past days for 2 straight weekend, we stroll within the city's inner road testing the unit for road worthiness and again, with my son in tow. Able to buy a decent half-face helmet for me and a temporary helmet for my son. Had my license secured last August 4 at LTO Pasig. My next assignment is to renew the vehicle registration.
Such a bad ass me, I test drive my motorcycle to work just today to have a taste of it on the distance. Proud that I was able to fit snuggily my black coat na hindi na ko mukhang putok na putok sa pagkakahapit kundi isa na lang suman, ahahahaha. I never checked my odometer before I left home but I believe it was below 50kms or so and was able to arrived at the parking area in front of Philippine Stock Exchange in less than an hour, and the odo reading -> 72kms means I did travel almost 25kms for now. Had my tank fill to 6 liters since the day I bought it and never refuel it again preferably by the end of the week. Had to test how much fuel did I consume first, and yes, wala po fuel gauge ang GD110. Been trying to find out if there's a way to do it. The ride goes pretty well as planned, cruising the notorious Commonwealth Avenue on 60kph average before heading to Tandang Sora going Katipunan Ave all the way to Green Meadows then Meralco Ave and to the office.
My next project is to replace my rear tire, planning to re-upholster and trimmed to camelback style my seat, and a front disk to compensate a better braking power.
Come lunch time, I return to the open parking area to claim my parking ticket, only to find out that I forgot to lock/off my gasoline gauge. And you know what to expect later in the night. When I start my bike by past 7PM, it went smooth not until I almost reach the intersection of Julia Vargas and Meralco Avenue that my bike suddenly went off, trying to restart my engine, and with no initial luck, had to push my bike back to the parking area to troubleshoot it. All I did just to get home is remove the fuel hose and restart my engine, viola! Thanks God and I was able to proceed going home. My next stop is on a nearby Mercury Drug to buy some stuff for my bunso, again, repeat the same procedure just to get home. Lesson learn, never leave the fuel gauge ON when parked. I'll let the mechanic do their job to check/inspect the issue if there are any at all.
The following day, I try leaving home late just to get a glimpse on how long it will take me to reach the office. Volume of vehicles tripled cruising the Commonwealth Avenue, while Katipunan Avenue is a nightmare in the morning, and I finally figure out the total gas consumption after my engine cease along Sapphire bloc leading to Meralco Avenue, and goes my 2 liters reserve fuel to the rescue. 3.5 liters equate to almost 150 kms of total riding distance. That's way below the average 51kms/liter as discussed on several local motorcycling forums but almost true to one post who detailed his itinerary for 2 weeks to dispute and report his finding to Suzuki.
That's for now. Wish me luck going home, since this morning, it's raining hard and hopefully, I'll find a temporary rain coat to restrain me from drenching in the rain hopefully not tonight.
And by the way, this is how I wish to attain my mc in the coming days, picture as reference from a recent Suzuki show in Thailand.
